Happy 25th Birthday, Macintosh!

On January 24th, 1984 Apple introduced the Macintosh computer, the first commercially successful personal computer to feature a mouse and a graphical user interface rather than a command line interface.

According to the entry for Macintosh in Wikipedia, “The Macintosh 128k was announced to the press in October 1983, followed by an 18-page brochure included with various magazines in December. The Macintosh was introduced by the now famous US$1.5 million Ridley Scott television commercial, “1984″. The commercial most notably aired during the third quarter of Super Bowl XVIII on 22 January 1984 and Two days after the 1984 ad aired, the Macintosh went on sale.
